Bears management thank Medics and fans

The management of Redcar Speedway would like to thank the fans for their patience and understanding during last nights abandoned meeting against the Glasgow Tigers.

As stated by promoter Kevin Keay, the priority was always the health and wellbeing of injured rider Coty Garcia, who was eventually admitted to James Cook Hospital with suspected back and shoulder injuries.

The club would like to put on record their thanks to the Medics UK team who, despite intense pressure, coped admirably with the situation and prioritised their patients wellbeing before all else.

The club will honour all re-admission tickets to any future Bears home fixtures at the reduced rate, as agreed by the regulations. A full club statement will follow shortly with further details.
