    SG Petch make it 4!

Our final partner for the 2019 season is an old friend of ours. We would like to give a warm welcome back to SG Petch Middlesbrough who will be our 4th and final partner for the 2019 season and sponsors of the clubs Platinum Suite. This will now be renamed as the SG Petch Platinum Suite and will be used as the clubs newest hospitality facility.

SG Petch Middlesbrough are main dealers for Abarth, Fiat and Hyundai. Their name is not a new one to the clubs supporters, with their most recent involvement with the Bears being as main title sponsors in 2017.

Promoter Jitendra Duffill added, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome SG Petch back on board as our final partner sponsor for the season. I was really keen to get them back on board when I accepted my role last year and I’d like to thank Shaun Burke for all of his help and support. I can’t wait for the season to start now.”

This good news comes just before the Bears are due to reveal their new main sponsor for 2019 at a Speedway Race Night next Friday 8th March. This will take place in the Bears club house where Tom Bacon will also be making the trip to Teesside. Most of the Redcar side are expected to take to the track for the first time this season the day after for a pre season practice session.

  • New Promoter for Bears

    New Promoter for Bears

Redcar Bears Speedway are very happy to announce that ex-Bear and current Team Manager Jade Mudgway has been appointed as the clubs co-promoter. Mudgway joins close friend Jitendra Duffill who was appointed as co-promoter in 2017 and replaced Kevin Keay as the clubs main promoter last November. Mudgway’s appointment is the latest in a string of major changes on Teesside over the winter but one that will give the Bears a more stable footing for the future.

Mudgway’s role at Redcar Speedway will not change with his primary job being Team Manager, but the move gives Redcar Speedway more security and offers support for Duffill who will continue to look after the day to day running of the club.

Commenting on the move, Duffill added, “I had been planning on making Jade my co-promoter since taking over from Kevin Keay last year. Jade’s role won’t really change but I feel it’s important to have 2 promoters at Redcar which will offer me some support when needed and also gives us the security of being able to run if I were to be unavailable through illness for example. Jade was the obvious choice to me. He is a close friend, is passionate about Redcar Speedway and he has plenty of ambition. His drive and influence were some of the main reasons I took the main promoters role last year.”

When asked about his appointment, Mudgway said, “I’m very happy to take on this role at Redcar. Myself and Jitendra share a massive passion for Redcar Speedway and I’m looking forward to working together and building the Bears into a force to be reckoned with on track”.
